With your keen eye on purchasing processes, you ensure that all materials are available on time and at the best conditions. You think strategically, negotiate firmly and work intensively with colleagues from various disciplines to ensure that complex projects run smoothly.

You will be working at a leading high-tech supplier in the Eindhoven region, active in the semiconductor and medical sectors, among others. From design to assembly, this innovative organization works on technological solutions that are deployed worldwide. Cooperation, growth and progress are key here.

As a Project Buyer, you are the purchasing conscience within customer projects. You select and qualify suppliers, negotiate project packages and ensure the availability of all necessary materials. You work closely with project managers, commodity buyers and Supplier Quality Engineers to achieve the project objectives on time, within budget and according to specifications.

For example, your day starts with a meeting with engineering about purchasing critical components. Then you coordinate the delivery time with a supplier and check the status of pending orders in the ERP system. In the afternoon, you will work on optimizing the purchasing strategy in line with the Total Cost of Ownership idea, together with your purchasing and supply chain colleagues.

You are analytically strong, love dynamics and know how to manage purchasing processes strategically and practically. You also bring:

• HBO work and thinking level, preferably in Technical Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience in a project-based purchasing role within a technical environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Navision.
• Knowledge of purchasing strategies and supplier management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Dutch and English
• A proactive, result-oriented attitude.
