You will be working for an innovative manufacturer of advanced sorting, inspection and transport systems for the food industry. The Beusichem office serves the EMEA and Asian markets, with sister locations in Belgium and the US. As a Technical Buyer, you are responsible for finding, qualifying and selecting suppliers, both nationally and internationally. You ensure timely and efficient purchasing of semi-finished products, services and products. In addition, you work closely with colleagues from engineering, planning and production.

A working day? You coordinate technical specifications with engineering, negotiate the best price and delivery time with a new supplier, and then enter everything accurately into the ERP system. You monitor deliveries and identify deviations in time. You also actively contribute ideas about cost reduction and process optimization within the chain.

You are strong in communication, technically savvy and know how to switch between suppliers and internal stakeholders. You also bring:

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a technical purchasing role.
• An MBO/HBO course in Mechanical Engineering, Retail, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• You can analyse and review technical documentation and supplier data.
• Strong negotiation skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Good command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
